Miguel Lauper (b. 1987) is a Zürich-based designer and artist.
In 2018, he founded Bureau Lauper, a design practice that spans a wide range of work, from small objects and products to bespoke interiors, industrial systems, and large-scale scenographic installations.
Guided by a holistic yet pragmatic ethos, Lauper’s practice merges craftsmanship, artistic exploration, and technical expertise. His work balances function, aesthetic integrity, and poetry, with high attention to detail. This philosophy is rooted in his background as a craftsman and builder, maintaining strong ties to the manufacturing process. Drawing on his broad interests, he works across multiple disciplines, remaining deeply involved in the production process.
With twenty years of technical experience, Lauper’s practice is further enriched by his formal studies in Industrial Design at the Zürich University of the Arts (ZHdK) and the École Cantonale d’Art de Lausanne (ECAL).
He has collaborated with cultural institutions, commercial partners, and private clients, consistently delivering thoughtful and simple access to design, driven by a passion for creating enduring work.
